We keep our freezers stocked with our own homegrown, all-natural grass-fed Angus beef, pastured pork, and frozen organic blueberries — plus local honey, maple syrup, Marieke Gouda cheese, and Lynnda's handcrafted birch bark & barb wire wreaths.

Our Story

A family farm you can drive to

Founded in 1981 by Steve and Linda Degner, Bashaw Valley Farm began with 20 milking cows and has grown into more than four decades of family operation. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from UW-River Falls, and their children Kenna, Brandon, and Alyssa help carry on the tradition. What started as a dairy transitioned to a grass-fed beef cow-calf operation in 1995 — the same year they built the first of eight storage buildings. Today the farm runs 100% grass-fed Angus beef, pastured pork, and organically grown blueberries, raised with organic fertilizer, no insecticides or herbicides, and a blueberry acre that is weeded by hand.

The on-farm self-serve store is open daily from 7 am to 7 pm, running on an honor-system deposit envelope — cash or check. Beyond shopping, visitors can pick their own organic blueberries in mid-July, or let the farm pick and call when they are ready. Hand-crafted birch bark and barbed-wire wreaths appear each fall and early winter, made from balsam and white pine boughs grown here in northern Wisconsin.

What's Growing

Organic blueberries & seasonal produce

Our organic blueberry patch is the centerpiece of summer. Mid-July opens U-pick and pre-picked berries by the pint and pail — call ahead for larger pre-picked orders so we can have them ready when you arrive.

Come May and June we have fresh-picked organic asparagus out of the field. The blueberry patch is the centerpiece of summer, and frozen organic blueberries are stocked in the on-farm store freezer year-round.

Handcrafted in northern Wisconsin from the freshest balsam and white pine boughs. Decorated with a beautiful red velvet bow, pine cones, and berries.

Each wreath is built from the freshest boughs grown here in northern Wisconsin — balsam for that classic evergreen scent, white pine for soft texture, birch bark for the rustic pieces, and seasonal kissing balls for the doorways. Every wreath is decorated by hand.

Concrete floors, roll-up doors, secure inside storage for vehicles, and ten different unit sizes. A separate revenue line on the same family property — call to check availability, or see current rates and pay your bill online at bashawstorage.com.

Household & Business

Ten standard unit sizes for household goods, equipment, inventory, and overflow — concrete floors, roll-up doors, and insulated non-drip ceilings. Monthly contracts with 30 days' notice.

RV & Boat Inside Storage

Covered inside storage keeps your RV, boat, or trailer out of the Wisconsin weather. Stored in a secure pole-style commercial building with a crushed-rock floor and entrance doors up to 14 feet tall by 16 feet wide.

Snowmobile & Seasonal

Secure inside storage for snowmobiles, vehicles, and seasonal gear. Pull in, lock up, and come back when the season does.

Drive-Up Access

Roll-up doors and concrete floors on every unit. A cylinder lock comes standard, and you can add your own padlock to double-lock it. The owners live on site, with security cameras for added protection.
