Our Story

A family farm you can drive to

Bashaw Valley Farm is a working family property tucked between Shell Lake and Spooner on US Highway 63. We raise Angus cattle on pasture, keep hogs the same way, run an organic blueberry patch, make handmade wreaths out of boughs cut from our own woods, and operate the self-storage facility next door.

The on-farm self-serve store keeps us connected to neighbors and travelers who want to know where their food comes from. Stop in any day between 7 am and 7 pm — the freezers are stocked and the deposit envelope is on the counter.

Pasture-raised, the slow way

Cattle and hogs grow on grass the way nature intended — no shortcuts, no feedlot finish.

Wisconsin woods, Wisconsin hands

Wreaths are cut and tied from the freshest balsam and white pine boughs grown here in northern Wisconsin.

Two lines, two businesses

The farm line and Lynnda's wreath line both ring to the same property. Either one is a real person who picks up.

Beef & pork, the way it should be

Individual cuts live in the on-farm store freezer — stop in any day, 7am to 7pm. Larger orders are reserved by phone.

100% Grass-Fed Angus Beef

Our Angus herd is raised entirely on grass — pasture in summer, stored forage in winter. No grain, no hormones, no antibiotics. The result is beef that tastes like beef should.

  • Individual cuts in the on-farm store freezer
  • Whole, half, and quarter beef by pre-order
  • Custom cut & wrap to your specs
  • All-natural, born and raised on the farm

Pastured Pork

Hogs raised outdoors with room to root and room to roam. We rotate them through fresh pasture and finish on a balanced ration — the way small Wisconsin farms have always done it.

  • Chops, ribs, roasts, sausage, and ground
  • Cuts in the on-farm store freezer
  • Half and whole hog available by pre-order
  • Cured and smoked options seasonally

What's Growing

Organic blueberries & seasonal produce

Our USDA organic blueberry patch is the centerpiece of summer. Mid-July opens U-pick and pre-picked berries by the pint and pail — call ahead for larger pre-picked orders so we can have them ready when you arrive.

Come May and June we have asparagus out of the field, and the patch produces a rotating stock of raspberries, strawberries, apples, and pears alongside the blueberries during the growing months. Frozen organic blueberries are stocked in the on-farm store year-round.
